10 Diamond Dallas Page Vs Bret Hart (World War 3 1998)

The use of Bret Hart in WCW was quite questionable with odd booking moves. One positive was that Hart did get to have good matches against the likes of Booker T, Chris Benoit and Diamond Dallas Page. The rivalry with Page started during Bret’s time in the New World Order.

World War 3 saw Hart and DDP in the main event spot for the United States Championship. The win for Page was one of the biggest of his entire career. Both men had impressive chemistry that proved they deserved to the main event over the battle royal.

9 Diamond Dallas Page Vs Chris Benoit (Superbrawl 1998)

Diamond Dallas Page became the most consistent upper card player for WCW in 1998. Many of the PPVs would see him steal the show against fellow rising stars. Chris Benoit challenged DDP for the United States Championship at SuperBrawl 1998.

The technical wrestling side of Benoit made Page adapt and keep up with him. DDP continued to have a strong run as United States Champion with another strong outing. Benoit was viewed as a rising star and put out an impressive performance as well.

Raven became another rival for Diamond Dallas Page in 1998. They had outstanding chemistry that made them arguably the best part of the WCW product. Slamboree 1998 saw them have their big blowoff match to end the feud once and for all.

The stipulation was basically a cage match with weapons involved. Chris Kanyon interfered in the match to get revenge on Raven for past actions. Page won to continue his momentum as the hottest rising star for WCW in 1998.

7 Diamond Dallas Page Vs Eddie Guerrero (Starrcade 1996)

The success of Diamond Dallas Page started in late 1996. Despite playing a heel, fans started to cheer for Page due to his exciting matches and the tremendous Diamond Cutter finisher. One of the break out matches for DDP came at the biggest event of the year.

Eddie Guerrero faced off against Page for the vacated United States Championship. The two future legends had something to prove and delivered an outstanding performance. Guerrero eventually won the match to take home the title, but DDP was bound for bigger things.

6 Diamond Dallas Page Vs Randy Savage (Halloween Havoc 1997)

The rivalry between Diamond Dallas Page and Randy Savage put DDP on the map. They had a few memorable matches with the big culmination coming at Halloween Havoc 1997. Savage and Page had a violent Sudden Death Rules match, which was WCW’s version of a Last Man Standing match.

The win for Savage gave him more heat as he entered the WCW Championship picture in 1998. DDP may have lost the match, but he continued to find success after working with Savage. The feud with a legend helped him prove to be a real main eventer.

5 Diamond Dallas Page Vs Raven (Spring Stampede 1998)

The No DQ stipulation titled Raven’s Rules saw Raven have the advantage against Diamond Dallas Page at Spring Stampede 1998. Both men beat the life out of each other all over the venue with various weapons in grand fashion.

The United States Championship was on the line with Raven defeating DDP to take home the gold. Raven lost the title one night later to Goldberg, but the match here made the win memorable. Both wrestlers were viewed as bigger stars because of the great performances here.

4 Diamond Dallas Page Vs Sting (Nitro: April 26, 1999)

Diamond Dallas Page won his first WCW Championship in 1999 to prove he could reach the top of the mountain. The big title defense on Nitro against Sting saw Page lose the title right away. Both men were at the top of their A-games, putting on an instant classic.

The booking saw Sting win the title here before losing it back to DDP later in the night. It still was a positive for fans getting to see such a great match on Nitro. Page proved he was ready to hang in the main event picture whenever WCW called upon him.

3 Diamond Dallas Page Vs Raven Vs Chris Benoit (Uncensored 1998)

Diamond Dallas Page, Raven and Chris Benoit all had singles rivalries with each other. WCW found the perfect trio to put in a triple threat match. The No DQ stipulation made it easy for the three to brawl all over the arena in an entertaining fashion.

All three wrestlers were ready to have bigger roles in the company, and looked to prove it here. DDP eventually won the match to retain the United States Championship by hitting a Diamond Cutter on Raven from the top rope through a table.

2 Diamond Dallas Page Vs Goldberg (Halloween Havoc 1998)

The Halloween Havoc 1998 main event between Diamond Dallas Page and Goldberg showed both men at their absolute best. Page was having a great run of momentum after winning War Games to earn the title shot here against the undefeated Goldberg.

The reputation of Goldberg was that he could not have good matches. DDP proved that it was possible to lead him with an outstanding match here. Fans believed the undefeated streak was ending after Page hit the Diamond Cutter. The match helped add to the positive reputation of DDP.

1 Diamond Dallas Page Vs Randy Savage (Spring Stampede 1997)

The match that essentially made Diamond Dallas Page a huge star for WCW came against Randy Savage at Spring Stampede 1997. Page was picking up steam after the positive momentum of him tricking the New World Order by turning down their offer to join the group.

Randy Savage made things personal by targeting DDP’s wife Kimberly. The big match finally took place here with the No DQ stipulation. It was one of the best WCW main events of the Monday Night Wars era. Page defeated Savage to cement his status as a star in WCW.
