There are many contenders but Fiona Glenanne deserves the award for "Best TV Girlfriend of All Time." The Burn Notice character brings a whole new meaning to ride-or-die. When her ex-boyfriend and series protagonist Micahel Westen finds himself in Miami after being booted from the CIA, she takes him in and takes care of him.

This is despite the fact that he had previously abandoned her without saying goodbye. And when he takes P.I. gigs in Miami while trying to get back in the CIA, she accompanies him to each and every mission because she is equally as skilled. 10 "Dangerous, Unstable. Remind You Of Anyone?"

In Season 1's "Family Business," there is a scene where Fiona is making homemade C-4 in preparation for a mission with Michael. She is knowledgeable in bomb-making thanks to her previous life working for the IRA.

Michael comes to check up on her and asks about the progress. Fiona informs him that the bomb's power is good but it's quite unstable too. She cheekily asks him if this reminds him of anyone. She is clearly talking about herself. Michael has always described her as loving but dangerous and unstable,

Michael complains about a threat to his life in Season 2's "Seek And Destroy." He tries to convince Fiona that they should hunt down a person he suspects has been sent to carry out a hit on him.

Fiona can't understand why Michael is so worried. She feels they should allocate their time to more important things like eating yogurt and drinking mojitos because if they decide to look for everyone that tried to kill Michael, that's all they do. She kinda has a point because Michael's life is always in danger.

Torture is always common in a movie or TV show about spies. Sam and Michael have a hard time getting information out of a gangster they just captured in Season 3's "The Hunter." He is not talking and Sam concludes that the man is more afraid of his boss than them.

Sam suggests that they should squeeze him harder to which Fiona responds by stating he meant choke. Sam argues that he didn't mean to choke because the man won't be able to speak properly if they choke him. Fiona counters by saying that him not speaking properly won't matter because she has good hearing. She thus wants them to go ahead and choke him. Typical Fiona!

7 "Oh, Please! If A Nuisance Like Randall Can Kill Me Then I Deserve It."

Fiona has helped Michael many times and in Season 3's "Fearless Leader," she demands his help too. She asks him to help her get her friend's money back. The money in question has been taken by a criminal named Randall.

Fiona laments to Michael that Randall is partying in Cancun with her friend's money. Michael, who is happy that she just survived a scary encounter with Randall, tells her that she should be glad she's still alive. Fiona doesn't seem to rate the thug too highly. Despite having a lucky escape, she doesn't believe he is capable of killing her.

C.S.S agent Jason Bly is a devious character for most of the series. In Season 6's "Scorched Earth," he tries to convince Fiona to talk by telling her that Michael has died due to injuries sustained from a truck explosion. In truth, the truck was only used as a roadblock.

Fiona asks to see photos of the explosion and after examining them, she tells Bly to his face is lying about Michael's death. She can tell by simply looking at the truck's doors. Bly wonders how he knew all that, and she tells him they are done. He has no idea that she knows everything about bombs from her time at the IRA.

Still, in Season 3, Michael links up with an agent for spies named Strickler. He believes Strickler can help him get back into the Central Intelligence Agency. However, Fiona has her doubts.

Fiona tells Michael that Stricker doesn't have the kind of influence he thinks he has. Michael isn't too happy about Fiona's doubts as he is eager to get back into the agency. He asks to change the topic but Fiona insists that Strickler is fishy. She hilariously suggests that Michael should just kill him. It later turns out she was right.

4 "You Think You Know Me, McBride?"

It's rare to hear Fiona addressing Michael by the fake name he used while he was working undercover in Ireland. But in Season 7's "Forget Me Not," she does that in a cheeky way.

When Fiona asks Michael why he parked his car so far away from her, he tells her that he had a feeling she was doing something dangerous. Perhaps she was making a bomb. Fiona then teases Michael about how well he knows her. Michael says he doesn't know her well yet but he's learning. Well. it's been seven seasons.

In Season 5's "An Eye For An Eye," Michael tasks Fiona with tracking down an old man in Tallahassee who he suspects of being a bomb-making. Sam has his doubts about the man being a criminal but Michael believes he is up to no good.

Fiona agrees then asks Michael if he knows what kind of girlfriend goes all the way to Tallahassee to search a dirty old man's dusty apartment? Michael answers: "A good girlfriend." Vaughn is easily one of the best villains in the series, In the Season 4 finale, he comes to Miami, accompanied by a tactical assault team to deal with Michael and his friends.

During a shootout at an abandoned construction site, things go in Vaughn's favor. Jesse and Fiona have a way to get away alive but she abandons that plan and goes back into the building to save Michael. Jesse thinks it's a foolish move because they will both die. Fiona doesn't care. She declares that she belongs to Michael.

This is a recurring quote from Fiona in the intro of every episode. Fiona is heard saying the words while holding a gun right after Michael describes her as "a trigger-happy ex-girlfriend" and the only person who is still willing to tolerate him.

The words are a perfect reflection of Fiona's personality. She has always been willing to pull the trigger when dealing with baddies. This isn't necessarily a bad thing as she has managed to save the gang on many occasions. In a perfect world, she really should have gotten her own spin-off show.
