Team Go Rocket Boss Giovanni can be easily defeated in Pokémon GO this July 2023 by selecting Pokémon with, Fighting, Ice and Water type attacks.
Players can take on Team Go Rocket Boss Giovanni again in Pokémon GO in July 2023. Players will need to defeat Giovanni as part of the 'A Shadowy Disturbance Special Research' that was recently added to Pokémon GO. Once players have beaten the three Team GO Rocket leaders in Pokémon GO, Cliff, Sierra, and Arlo, Giovanni will start appearing in Team GO Rocket balloons and at Pokéstops.
Once again victory over Giovanni offers players the chance to catch a rare legendary Pokémon, in a Shadow Regirock. Giovanni's team again contains a legendary titan this month, but also features two new Pokémon for July 2023 as part of his team according to PokemonGoHub.
Giovanni's Team in July 2023 in Pokémon GO
Giovanni's Team for July 2023 in Pokémon GO features two returning Pokémon from his June 2023 team. As always, Giovanni starts with his favorite Normal-type Pokémon Persian, which can surprisingly deal a lot of damage so needs to be taken down quickly. Giovanni's second Pokémon will be one of Nidoking, Rhyperior or Garchomp.
The Bosses final Pokémon will be the Legendary Fighting-type Regirock. However, by picking the right line-up Regirock is one of the weaker Legendary Pokémon in Pokémon GO. All of Giovanni's line-up are Shadow Pokémon, making them much stronger than the normal variants.

Best Pokémon GO counters for Giovanni in July 2023
As always trainers will want to focus on picking Pokémon that Giovanni's are weak against. Thankfully Giovanni's team this month has a lot of the same weaknesses. Trainers will see that Persian and Regirock are both weak against Fighting types meaning at least one should be included. Starting with a Fighting-type, such as Machamp, against Persian can put players in control early on.
All of Giovanni's second Pokémon possibilities are Ground-types that are weak to Ice- types meaning Pokémon such as Mamoswine are key. Rhyperior is double weak against Water or Grass attacks, while Nidoking is also weak against Water, so including a Water-type such as Swampert can cover two of the options for his second Pokémon.
Swampert will also be super-effective against Giovanni's final Pokémon, Regirock. The Rock-type Legendary has a long list of weaknesses so shouldn't provide too many problems for Trainers in Pokémon GO this month.
