That isn't just with their in-ring performances either, as the wrestlers tend to create some special ring gear for the Rumble shows to try and stand out from the crowd, which has led to some brilliant looks being created over the years.
10 Sasha Banks (2022)
In what could technically be the last Royal Rumble match Sasha Banks ever competes in, the Legit Boss was able to make a real mark by coming out in Sailor Moon-inspired ring gear. This was something that got everybody talking, particularly those who are anime fans.
Banks put real attention to detail with this gear from the clothes to the eyes being placed into the hair. Banks looked the part for fans of the character, while even those who had no clue who she was portraying could still be impressed by the ring gear as it looked great.
9 Naomi (2020)
Naomi has always created great ring gear which is often vibrant and helps her stand out, and in 2020 that is exactly what she did. Naomi returned to the ring at this moment following an injury, and she certainly made a mark with a real pop of neon colors to help her look brilliant.

Sasha Banks looking great in her Sailor Moon ring gear wasn't the only time that she got the wrestling world talking about her in the Royal Rumble. During the first-ever women's Rumble, she put together a Wonder Woman-style outfit to make a real impact with her ring gear.
Because fans can instantly understand who the character was that Banks was cosplaying, people were instantly impressed and could connect to what she was trying to do.
7 MVP (2020)
MVP made his return to WWE in the 2020 Royal Rumble as a surprise entrant which was exciting enough, but he also made a big impact by wearing some fantastic ring gear. The former United States Champion tapped into the comic book world by providing a Marvel cosplay.
He wore a Black Panther-inspired outfit that got plenty of attention and was heavily praised due to how brilliant it looked. The attention to detail was superb with this one.
6 Ric Flair (1992)
The 1992 Royal Rumble is one of the greatest that has ever taken place, and a big reason for that was Ric Flair's story as he battled the odds to win the encounter. The Nature Boy always knows how to make himself stand out and look like a million bucks, and that was the case here.
He turned up in the famous butterfly robe, which is one of the greatest that he ever wore and is something that fans still talk about today. It's one that just screams star power, and if that can be achieved in the ring gear alone then something special has happened.
5 Liv Morgan (2021)
Liv Morgan quite often likes to pay tribute to different aspects of pop culture with her ring gear, whether that be through movies or music, and that's what she did in the 2021 Royal Rumble. She opted to wear gear inspired by Christina Aguilera, and it was something she pulled off expertly.

4 Edge/Beth Phoenix (2022)
Anytime a couple gets to compete together it is a great moment, and it opens up the chance for some matching ring gear to be made which is what Edge and Beth Phoenix did. They defeated The Miz and Maryse at the 2022 event, and they did so while looking incredibly stylish.
They had similar designs with what they wore which helped to make them both look fantastic, with the color choice being quite a unique one with the shade of blue. They also had matching jackets for their entrances which enhanced things even further.
3 Bianca Belair (2021)
Bianca Belair always puts effort into her ring gear, and the fact that she makes her own helps each piece to feel even more special in the eyes of the fanbase. The EST of WWE switches things up and always goes all out for big events, which was the case at the 2021 Royal Rumble, which she won.
Her gear was comic book inspired with the pop art style taking place. The blue base helped to make everything else pop as the lips logo was the focal point which brought everything together and made her look even more impressive.
2 Shawn Michaels (1995)
Shawn Michaels was the Royal Rumble winner this year, and he made sure to put together some great ring gear to help make the moment memorable. The red pants with all the hearts on them looked excellent, with the zebra pattern being unique and adding to the overall look.
It was very out there for the time and something that only the Heartbreak Kid was going to be able to pull off. However, he had the arrogance to go for it, and that's one of the reasons it worked so well.
1 The New Day (2021)
Out of all the ring gear that has been worn over the years, the effort that The New Day put into their 2021 gear stands out the most. This show came shortly after Brodie Lee, unfortunately, passed away, and because of how close they all were to him, they decided to pay tribute to the former Wyatt Family member.
Their ring gear was all custom-made with colors that suited Lee's career, while they also had pictures of him put onto different parts of their gear. The fact each man had something different while they all came together to look like a unit helped to make them look fantastic.
