Many of Collings' friends and co-stars took to social media after the news broke, signaling their grief for the reality star and pouring in their support for the family (via Variety).

"I am completely heart broken," wrote Collings' friend on Facebook. "Whitney Collings, we have so many fun memories together. Rest easy beautiful angel your with your dad now." Bad Girls season 2 alum Darlen Escober also wrote in an Instagram story, "God has gained another beautiful sweet angel." Another person added on Thursday, "R.I.P. Whitney Collings. So Sad. It didn't have to go like this. Another person taken way too soon. Some calls you never want to get."

"Rest peacefully, Whitney Collings. So young!" wrote pop culture blogger Perez Hilton on Twitter of the news.

The news of Collings' passing comes just a few months after Bad Girls season 8 star Demitra "Mimi" Roche's death in July, also at the very young age of 34.
