Wolf Pack season 2 receives a new update almost a year after its debut episode, as the Paramount Plus supernatural drama has yet to be renewed.
Summary
- Wolf Pack's season 2 renewal is uncertain, leaving viewers in suspense.
- Season 1 ended with a twist involving Sarah Michelle Gellar's Kristin Ramsey.
- The fate of the show is unclear, and Paramount Plus has already canceled other young adult series.
Wolf Pack season 2 receives an update a long time after the show premiered in January 2023. Based on the book series by Edo van Belkom and from Teen Wolf creator Jeff Davis, season 1 of the Paramount Plus supernatural drama consisted of eight episodes. The story centers around two teenagers — Everett (Armani Jackson) and Blake (Bella Shepard) — and chronicles what happens as their lives are forever changed in the wake of a California wildfire that awakens a terrifying creature. The teens are wounded in the chaos of the attack, finding that they're inexplicably drawn to one another, as well as twins who experienced similar circumstances.
Although initial updates about the show's future seemed positive, with star and executive producer Sarah Michelle Gellar previously sounding optimistic about Wolf Pack season 2, the latest update from TVLine strikes an uncertain note. When a reader asked for news on season 2, the response was: “We ask… and we ask… but…. Still crickets, thus far.”
What To Expect From Wolf Pack Season 2 (If It Happens)
Wolf Pack season 1 did not end with a sense of resolution, leaving several cliffhangers in place for a potential second installment. The biggest relates to Gellar's Kristin Ramsey. After operating in the background for most of the season, the arson investigator is revealed to be a supernatural creature herself. She's a werewolf and the mother of Harlan (Tyler Lawrence Gray) and Luna (Chloe Rose Robertson), and she may have villainous intentions. The finale doesn't offer a lot of specifics, however.
Another supporting character who came into focus by the end of Wolf Pack season 1 is Baron (Chase Liefeld). He's another one of Ramsey's children. There's a bigger role for the Buffy alum, if a renewal happens, given Ramsey's close connection to several characters, including Harlan and Luna's adoptive father Garrett (Rodrigo Santoro). However, the show's fate is a big question mark, especially considering that Paramount Plus has already made renewal decisions on its most high-profile young adult series.
Paramount Plus canceled the iCarly revival after three seasons, in addition to canceling the Grease prequel show, Rise of the Pink Ladies. However, School Spirits season 2 has been confirmed.
Although it may be worth noting that Wolf Pack season 1 did not get good reviews, the bigger mystery is why a renewal decision has taken several months. With the strikes over and most of Paramount's television slate decided, the supernatural drama remains one of the streamer's relatively few originals that still has an unknown fate.
